Week 92

I am so in love with this composition! We have several “paintings” from this photo shoot and I was eager to do another. 

The white fabric is a full spectrum of colors, of warmth and coolness. It was intoxicating in its intricacies to paint. Whilst emerged working on the dark moonlit fabric, I looked up to see Laert using the same tones as I for her face and arms! Confused for a moment, I watched fascinated as she was formed in midnight. Then the glow of the lantern was flickered expertly onto her night flesh, making her come alive with pensive anticipation. 

Whom is she holding vigil for, and why? As she waits in her robe of many colors, her heart and her purpose are not shrouded but illuminated. Whomever she awaits will come ashore to find a heart aglow like a prism, a steady flame holding it’s ground in the deepest darkness.
