Week 152

Commissioned to create a work commemorating a departed soul, we approached this painting with care. Immortalizing someone in sumptuous oil paint has long been a revered and coveted task. Each moment we spent with her, we were drawn in further, matching her depth and vibrancy. Beginning with a subdued palette and then moving towards more color, more vitality, this portrait began to hum with the beautiful life within. This sideways glance with an easy laugh captures a woman who spent life living each moment fully.
