Week 33

Dragging my feet...not because I am stuck or not wanting to paint, but just because I am so doggone tired. Laert was the one today to pull us into the studio. We trade off that role as different days hit us- some days we need no pushes, and some we both succumb to crawling into bed early to binge watch Netflix with wine and cheese.

Once mentally we decide, "ok we're doing this" - it's easier to get going. Then the excitement builds. Before long you are throwing strokes with calculated abandon. A deep copper underpainting is the foundation on this one, playing more with luminescence for interest and depth. You can feel her spirit awake and free. What's next?
