Week 14
Today marks the 6 month after losing Sabka. Alex has this as a painting concept that he wanted to do a full fledged painting of, but using his dad as the fishing muse. We got to do it as a part of the quickies series and I'm honored to be working with my husband whom I admire tremendously and who dove into this with his sweet, deep and passionate spirit. (Which may be a surprise to those of you who have only known his Tour de force side!)
You know when a piece moves you. This one is much smaller than we have been working with. So he sat behind me straddling my stool, and arms reaching around to share the canvas. It seemed like we were in an embrace while we were painting. So sweet and meaningful, and quite possibly the only way to work on the painting so small.
